Linglong was born in a busy Chicago café in 2021, when our founder watched a server sprint back and forth with paper slips while guests stared at laminated menus. There had to be a better way.
Before Linglong existed, our founding team ran restaurants. We experienced firsthand the chaos of Saturday dinner service — wrong orders, slow ticket times, menus that hadn't been updated since last season, and guests flagging down servers for information that should have been on the table already.
We spent two years as operators before writing a single line of code. That experience is baked into every feature: the kitchen display works the way a real kitchen works, not the way a product manager imagined it. The analytics surface the questions a GM actually asks on Monday morning.
We raised a $6M seed round in 2022 (Benchmark, Bessemer) and a $24M Series A in 2024 to accelerate our POS integrations and expand into Europe. Today Linglong serves over 3,200 venues across 18 countries.
Technology should make the guest experience warmer, not colder. Every feature we ship has to make guests feel more welcomed, not processed.
If a chef can't figure out our dashboard during the 15 minutes before service, we've failed. Complexity is our enemy. Clarity is our product.
We do bi-weekly calls with active customers, not quarterly surveys. The people running restaurants at 9pm on a Friday shape our roadmap, not our investors.
Half our founding team came from the restaurant industry. The other half built software for it. That combination is intentional.
